Meet Courtney O’ Brien, who has been with OCP since 2019 and was recently promoted to Regional Safety Manager. When Courtney was looking to further her career in keeping people safe on the job site, she chose to work for OCP because of the mentorship and continuing education opportunities.
"Courtney has proven over the past year that she is ready for the role of Regional Safety Manager in the Cleveland Office and will be assuming this new role on January 1st, 2021. Skip Powell will support her through this transition and he will continue to mentor Courtney.
Courtney has shown successful safety management skills on many projects within the Cleveland office, she excelled in turning the Church and State project over and finishing the project with 0 incidences following her supervision. Courtney has shown her ability to work with employees and make difficult decisions when they are needed. Please help us in congratulating Courtney and her part in the succession planning in the Safety department," wrote Matthew Taylor SMS, CHST, Corporate Safety Director of the promotion of Courtney.
When sharing about how Courtney has excelled over her last year with the company, OCP's current Regional Safety Manager, Skip Powell said "working with Courtney this last year has been my pleasure. Courtney has a great desire to learn all aspects of a Safety Manager. She wants to make sure her decisions are legal as well as the best for the employee’s safety and production. She realizes making the right decision is one of the most important things a Safety professional can do. I am pleased she is part of the OCP safety team."
Congratulations, Courtney! We look forward to your continued growth within the OCP team. Thank you for all that you do to ensure that everyone makes it home safe everyday.
